Edwardian Stoves
These stoves are all pre-first world war in date. There is a variety of styles of decoration with pierced cast iron being perhaps the most common.
Many stoves of this period were decorated in an Arts and Crafts style as well as the more common Art Deco influence.
The Art Deco movement was dominant during the late 1920's and 1930's with the emphasis on geometric patterns such as pyramids, sunburst rays, and diamond shapes.
Many designs from the late 1930's still continued through the late 1940's and 1950's so there is often an Art Deco feel to stoves of this period but with more of a touch of modernism and less fancy decoration.
