This early twentieth century Stove named the "Osaka" was made in France by the DeVille Company and probably dates from around 1920.
Stylistically however it is heralding the arrival of the Art Deco era. The bold geometric shapes in the enamelled cast iron of this stove are softened by delicate, more art nouveau style details in the knobs, handles and hinges on the stove.
The Flue is oval. We can make a flue adaptor if needed, from oval to round for £65

An original cast iron French stove in light brown enamel that is typical of the 1920s /1930s period.
The stove is very Art Deco in style featuring geometric sunburst designs on both the front and opening top panel.
The stove is designed to burn wood only, having no integral grate. Despite its age, this stove will be quite an efficient stove as the boxed flue inside the stove has been designed to give good convection properties.
The stove loads from the side, and has a solid cast iron base inside, where the burning takes place. The burning rate is adjusted by an air intake regulator on the side door, and it also has a draught diverter to reduce the heat output to the convecting part of the stove if needed.
The stove has been fully refurbished, and with average use should give many good years of service. There are some small chips in the enamel to the front of the stove, but not beyond the wear that would be expected on a 90 year old stove.
